White Lotus
The ancient Egyptians cultivated the white lotus in ponds and marshes. This flower often appears in ancient Egyptian decorations. They believed that the lotus flower gave them strength and power; remains of the flower have been found in the burial tomb of Ramesses II. The number 1,000 in ancient Egyptian numerals is represented by the symbol of the white lotus. The ancient Egyptians also extracted perfume from this flower. They also used the white lotus in funerary garlands, temple offerings and female adornment. The white lotus might have been one of the plants eaten by the Lotophagi of Homer's Odyssey.
Fine Art Photography
Fine art photography refers to photographs that are created to fulfill the creative vision of the artist. Fine art photography stands in contrast to photojournalism and commercial photography. But there is a problem with definition. There are no universally-accepted definitions of the related terms "art photography," "artistic photography," and "fine art photography," as exemplified by definitions found in reference books, in scholarly articles, and on the Web. Time Of Fun will try like this : "I see the wind, oh I see the trees everything is clear in my heart I see the clouds, oh I see the sky everything Is clear in our world I feel sorrow, oh i feel dreams everything is clear in my heart I feel life, oh i feel love everything is clear in our world"
The World’s Youngest Surgeon
A case of Guinness Book of the World Records or a penal case? Under the attentive surveillance of his parents, the 15-year-old son of two doctors from southern India performed a filmed Cesarean section. This was made on the run to gain the title of world’s youngest surgeon.
Instead of that, the boy’s father could lose all his licenses and could be charged for a criminal act, as announced by the officials. “Dr. K. Murugesan
showed a recording of his son performing a Cesarean section to an Indian Medical Association chapter in the southern state of Tamil Nadu last month,” said Dr. Venkatesh Prasad, secretary of the association.
Murugesan, who could possibly be prevented from practicing and face criminal charges for allowing his son to perform the operation, expressed no regret and accused the Manaparai medical association of being “jealous” of his son’s achievements. He said this was not the first surgery performed by his son and that he had been training him for the last three years,” said Prasad.
Murugesan told the medical association that he goal was that of registering his son’s name in the Guinness Book of World Records.
