Judging by these photos, it was part of the family. The Shambala Preserve was created by fashion model and actress Tippi Hedren after the movie Roar’s production in the 1970’s.
Exotic huge cats that lived in captivity and were abused or were in need of help were rescued by this preserve. Hedren’s family developed a close bond with one of the animals. Lion Neil lived in Hedren’s home.
